Saturday October 15, 2016 at 8pm at Tony V’s Tavern (5756 Cass Ave Detroit MI) Detroit is Different presents “Sweetest Soul: Tribute Concert to Aaliyah, Anita Baker, and Aretha Franklin.” The event features starring performances from soul vocalist Karen Bosco, Angela Davis, and Mona Lizza.

Aaliyah (Haughton), Anita Baker, and Aretha Franklin are all icons internationally but quintessentially Detroit’s own. These three divas in music have captured the essence of Detroit style, soul, and love. This Sweetest Day Detroit is Different honors the legacy of these three greats with the talents and skill of another three of Detroit’s best. Karen Bosco, Angela Davis, and Mona Lizza have performed across the nation for a world of audiences, events, and occasions. This Sweetest Day each singer will give a show that will share their love for Detroit soul.
