Today I feature the person I’d name Woodward Ave after, Blackman. Blackman is an all-around artist. DJ, rapper, singer, visual artist, and any other medium of expression you can think of he offers to the world. Blackman’s journey and work with the Freshfest (Def Jam’s original 1980’s tour), Kid Rock, George Clinton, Trapper’s Alley, Underground Resistance, and so much more are roots that connect with many cultures of Detroit.
