Charlene Mitchell-Rodgers career has been driven by her business in media and public relations. Charlene is a Toledo OH native who began a career in television as a reporter covering news in Toledo, Baltimore, Boston, and eventually Detroit. Here in Detroit she developed a consultancy to assist businesses with public relations and media. Charlene’s developed her business and shares with Detroit is Different her journey and plans. “AmazE-EnJoyment (AEJ) is an Early Childhood community Center that will operate inside a church servicing 57 children ages 2-4 years old. (AEJ) Early Childhood hands-on program will operate as a day care from 5am – 7pm, five days a week; its Wrap-around services (early bird drop-off/late night pick-up) are five days a week Monday – Friday 5 am-12 midnight for the needs of community patrons.

Enrichment Services: tutoring offered to children ages 3 to 12 years old. Small Zumba and/or Line dancing classes (hours TBD by clients’ needs) AEJ plans on opening its State funded (Great Start Readiness Program-GSRP) Childhood/community Center by Summer 2016.
